Kristin Harraldsson is a delight to add to our team! Having returned to SVAD as an advanced student in the 2014-2015 Season, Kristin proved to be a wonderful addition!
Her passion for dance, along with her clarity and understanding of what the "discipline of dance structure" provides, is what she will pass on to her young students. Her strengths lie in Lyrical and Jazz, and Kristin's interest in sharing her style in movement, and her focused approach to learning will inspire our SVAD dancers!
Shelly Lowe-Whan and Kelly Fellers - Directors
I originally fell in love with dancing at the age of eleven. My parents were pushing me to get into some extracurricular activities and I decided on a whim to enroll in dance classes at Skagit Valley Academy of Dance. I performed at a few recitals and competed in Dansations as well. It was through the art of dancing that I discovered two very important assets within myself: discipline and determination. These traits are applied in every aspect of my life today, as an employee, a student, and especially as a dancer. I quit dancing when I was 15 years old, and I wasn't able to come back until I was twenty one. I know that in my time gone, I never stopped loving dance and my heart always belonged to the dance studio. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team here at SVAD.
